
Cybis Abigail Adams Ltd Ed, No 232 of 600. First Lady Abigail Adams was the wife and closest advisor of 2nd President John Adams, mother of the 6th President John Quincy Adams and an early advocate for women’s rights. Abigail is shown seated writing one of the many letters of advice to her husband John Adams while they were apart as he served in various political and diplomatic roles. Cybis referred to these limited edition, full figure pieces as “Portraits in Porcelain”, often regarded as the studios best work. Designed by Lynn Klockner Brown and issued in 1976 in a limited edition of 750 pieces with only 600 pieces ultimately produced. This is number 232. 10.5 inches tall. Excellent condition, all flowers, bows and ribbons intact, no damage or repairs.
