Signed, limited first edition. One of 500 numbered copies, signed by Neil Gaiman on a specially designed bookplate. This copy is number 8. A small smudge of glue next to the bookplate from when the publisher affixed it to the front end page. True first edition, published by the BBC in 1996 – predates the American release by a year. Also contains Gaiman’s original text, the American edition was altered (the publisher insisted that the London references were to obscure for US readers).
