The binding is sewn into boards and bound in full red goat leather using black leather inlays to create windows on the front and rear boards. The spine features a leather label with titling with the endpapers and pastedowns being handmade marbled paper. The book measures 8.75″ x 5.5″ and has been signed by Caroling Wozny on the limitation page. Book Details: Published in 1986 by The Press of Appletree Alley, Lewisburg, PA with a limitation of 110 copies with this being “A” signifying that it was for “hand binding”, the book is an interesting study on the life of St. Paul that includes a wonderful foreword by Brother Daniel Burke from La Salle University. The book was printed on a letterpress on mould made Rives Lightweight paper that was accomplished with a Vandercook No. About the Artist: Constance Wozny has been a bookbinder for over 18 years and her creations are widely exhibited in various exhibitions and juried shows in the United States, France, England, Australia, and Tokyo. Her bindings are included in the permanent collections of numerous institutions ranging from the Special Collections Department of the Chicago Main Library to the University of Michigan Library in Ann Arbor. She holds a degree in Marketing from Eastern Kentucky University and has studied with many notable book artists and fine binders including Tini Miura, Monique Lallier, Dominic Riley, and Don Ethington. Her artistic works have been featured in book art exhibition venues locally, nationally and internationally as well as in several book art publications. Her studio is located in Louisville, Kentucky.
