Signed, limited first edition. One of 500 numbered copies, signed by Neil Gaiman on a specially designed bookplate. This copy is number 8. A small smudge of glue next to the bookplate from when the publisher affixed it to the front end page. True first edition, published by the BBC in 1996 – predates the American release by a year. Also contains Gaiman’s original text, the American edition was altered (the publisher insisted that the London references were to obscure for US readers). Cover art by long time Gaiman collaborator Dave McKean. Hardcover in jacket, price intact on jacket flap. Binding strong and square. Lovely copy in fine condition. Jacket now in fresh Mylar. Schroder is well known for this type of Native American art work. Condition overall is very nice. There is a repair on the front bottom shown in picture 3 and a little nick on the back of the shawl in picture 4. Measurements: 9″ Wide x 3 1/2″ Deep x 11 1/2 Tall The piece weighs almost 10 lbs.
